Bruce Samlan Soccer League is the premier recreational soccer league in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

As a recreational league, the focus is on the introduction and continued development of every players’ soccer knowledge and skill through ongoing coaches’ training and players’ clinics

Our league stresses learning and enjoyment of the sport and we are committed to the idea that the players have fun while learning the game. Our teams are separated into boys and girls teams after the youngest division (shooting stars-4 year olds) which is co-ed.

Seasons consist of:
8 weeks in the spring - one practice during the week and one game on Saturday morning between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
8 weeks in the fall - one practice during the week and one game on Saturday morning between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Practices are in the Rockton/Roscoe area with individual coaches choosing the practice location

Games are played at Pacific Bearing- just west of I-90 at Rockton Road

Fees for each season include jersey, socks, team and individual pictures, paid referees for older teams and a players clinic by licensed coaches. For the fall of 2007 they will be $70.00 per player

BSSL is an entity of the Hononegah Youth Soccer Association along with our sister organization, Hononegah Lions Soccer Club. Together we are working to develop an area soccer program that will enable players to compete at any level they wish. The Bruce Samlan Soccer League is the first step for players ages 4-13. And the club level, competitive Hononegah Lions Soccer Club is the next step for our area players.

Our goal is to create a lifelong love for fitness and the game of soccer through fun and friendship on the playing fields. For more information email us at: samlaninfo@samlansoccer.com
